Common Questions

How far in advance should I make reservations?
We recommend making reservations as early as possible.  With only 27 seats available each evening, we can book up as much as a month or two beforehand, particularly during the popular summer months.  Tables of two and large groups are particularly popular so be sure to book early to avoid disappointment

Do you post the menu?
To uphold our commitment to using local foods, supporting sustainability and minimizing food waste, our Executive Chef creates a new menu every week.  Each of our menus is designed to showcase the freshest ingredients available from our food partners at the time it is created.  The menu is revealed only once you arrive for your experience.

Is there a minimum number of guests required for booking?
Each group that books is seated at their own private table. We have tables for as few as two people up to as many as 12 people.

What is the maximum number of guests you can seat at one table?
The largest table that can be booked online seats 12 people.  If you have a group of 7 to 9 people, please contact Christine at The Table to discuss available options, as a table of that size is sometimes possible.

Groups may book more than one smaller table to accommodate larger group sizes but we cannot guarantee that the tables will be located close to each other in the dining room and tables cannot be pushed together. Please note that if you book two smaller tables online, your party will be seated at separate tables.

Can I book The Table for a Private Event?
Any of our The Chef's Table experiences can be booked exclusively by a single group.  A minimum guest number of 24 applies.  We do not offer custom menu events.

Do you have a wine list?
We do! Like our food menus, our beverage menu features only wines, beers & spirits grown and produced in Canada.  We are incredibly privileged to live in a country so vast in size and geography that it, in and of itself has a very diverse terroir. We’re proud to showcase the hard-working wine makers, brewers, and distillers of Canada. Our team is happy to help you find a beverage that you’re sure to enjoy!

Do you offer wine pairings?
We do! Our chef personally curates a flight of Canadian wines that pairs perfectly with each week’s menu.

Can I bring my own wine?
You most certainly can!  Do you have a special bottle of wine you’ve been holding on to for a special occasion?  Do you have a specific wine you enjoy drinking with fine food?  Bring it with you! Our liquor license allows our guests to bring their own (commercially produced) wine to enjoy with their meal. Just present it to your waitperson when you arrive for serving.  Our corkage fee is $35 per bottle.

What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, Android Pay and Debit.

When should I arrive?

For The Chef's Table experiences we open the doors at 5:15pm.  The evening begins at 5:30pm.

When does the evening end?
Each experience is about 3 to 3.5 hours long, wrapping up by 9:00 or 9:15pm at the latest.

Are The Table’s dining experiences appropriate for children?
We do not recommend our experiences for children younger than 14 years of age. The Table is a fine dining venue that specializes in 7 course meals served over the course of 3 to 4 hours.  It is difficult for children to sit through these long experiences or to enjoy the dishes served due to the large amount and adventurous style of food served.  With our dining model each person that attends, whether an adult or child, is charged the same amount - we do not offer a children’s menu or pricing for our experiences.

What should I wear?
We don’t stand on ceremony at The Table.  Wear whatever makes you happy!  Are you dining with us for a special occasion or a date night? Break out that fancy outfit you’ve been saving.  Coming for a meal with old friends?  Keep it “business casual” with slacks and a nice shirt.

Where are you located?
We are located in beautiful rural New London, just three buildings down from the corner of Route 6 and Graham’s Road (Route 8) on the South West side (map at the bottom of the webpage).  The Table is about a 45 minutes drive from Charlottetown, 20 minutes from Summerside and 15 minutes from Cavendish.

Is parking available?
There is ample free parking available on the green space beside or in front of the building on either side of the driveway, and along Graham’s Rd in front of the church.  We do ask that you not park in front of our neighbours homes or in the fire lane beside the church for safety reasons.

I have allergies and/or dietary restrictions, can you accommodate them?
The Table specializes in providing set-menu meals where each course is cooked, plated and served from our small kitchen.  With this type of dining model, it is difficult to simultaneously prepare alternatives to be either allergy-friendly or to satisfy individual dietary preferences/lifestyle choices without compromising the safety and quality of those dishes and the value and integrity of the experience.

While we sympathize with guests who have allergies, we are NOT able to safely accommodate food severe allergies to dairy, lactose, all seafood, onions or garlic.  Please note that at least 2-3 courses in each meal include seafood (fish, mollusks, bivalves and/or crustaceans), and dairy, garlic and onion are ingredients in the majority of courses.

We are also NOT able to accommodate vegetarian or vegan diets

We ARE able to accommodate celiac diets and nut allergies, as well as allergies to foods grown only in tropical environments.

All allergies and dietary restrictions must be indicated at the time of booking.  Allergies or dietary restrictions provided on arrival can not be accommodated.

Please note that we are NOT able to make substitutions for food aversions.

We encourage all guests with any kind of allergies or dietary concerns to contact The Table directly by phone or email to confirm whether their needs will be met during our experiences.

What is Hospitality Included?
This means that we have eliminated tipping at the restaurant and have removed these prompts from our point-of-sale system.   Instead, all of the necessary revenue to properly compensate our small team of hard-working staff fairly, competitively and predictably is now already built into our pricing.

What is your cancellation policy?
We require 72 hours notice prior to the date/time of reservation to make modifications to or cancel a reservation.

When you make reservations, either online or by phone, you will be prompted to provide full payment for the meal portion of your dining experience at the time of booking (beverages will be available during your meal at additional cost).

Now of course, we get it, things happen, plans change. Not to worry - cancellations made at least 3 days (72 hours) prior to a reservation will receive a full refund.  If you would like to adjust/decrease the number of guests in your reservation, it is important to do this more than 3 days in advance as well.  It is only cancellations or changes made to reservations less than 3 days prior that will not receive a refund.

Guests should contact The Table by phone or email to cancel or modify their reservation.

Is the building wheelchair accessible?
Unfortunately, The Table is not wheelchair accessible.
